The main idea of the workshop is to enhance the capacity of the trainees to build an organization on basis the of principles of running NGOs as discussed in a book issued by the NDI and to be translated into Kurdish by the CSI. Different methods used in the training workshop such as brainstorming, discussion, small group projects and using tools to engage the trainees into a process which will result in building a real NGO and the trainees will become actors in running it. In the workshop, the active trainees were appointed to take part in the next training workshops and discussion meetings. CSI staff had made efforts to involve both female and male participants in both districts. In Chamchamal district, the number of female trainees was good while in Kalar the same problem has continued which is absence of female in the training workshops.
After ending the workshops, each group met separately to discuss the initial steps to build an NGO like: Drafting the bylaw of the organization, Name of the NGO, Vision, Mission, Objective, Slogan and logo, Geographical location of work, Field of work and its mechanism, Organizational structure and others.
Its wealth mentioned that CSI couldn’t get permission from NDI to translate the guidebook in the proper time; the book (How to build a small good NGO) has not been given to the trainees in this reporting period.
